Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery

Lumpkin County, Georgia

From Dahlonega Town Square travel east on East Main Street.  Turn left at 1st stop-light (Grove Street).  Turn left on Oak Grove Road. Church is located on the left, the cemetery is a short distance past the church on the right. 

Brief History of Cemetery

On the 28th day of May 1887, we the undersigned being Gospely Baptized, met at a house known as Hampton Chapel for the purpose of being constituted into a church.  Having solicited several sister churches, to meet with us on the occasion, viz. Dahlonega Reverend A. Ward, W. P. Price, Salem Reverend J. M. Dowdy, Cane Creek J. D. Stargel.  Pleasant Hill J. H. Satterfield, and J. K. P. Lance, Siloam W, T. Dowdy.  L. J. Cronan.
